ParcelHero partner DHL has issued its 12th Annual DHL Corporate Responsibility Report. The report covers Deutsche Post-DHL Group’s key social, economic and environmental activities in 2015.
The report covers a variety of topics, from carbon efficiency to corporate citizenship. DHL has a number of environmental protection goals and met its goal of reducing carbon emissions by 1% last year.
Other issues covered include charity and disaster response work. Over 70,000 DHL employees took part in Global Volunteer Day in 2015, helping variety of national and local charities. In addition DHL sent disaster response teams to a number of global crisis, including Brazil, where toxic mud engulfed several towns, Nepal where an earthquake struck, Chile, Guatemala and the South Pacific island of Vanuatu where there was the earthquake, a volcano eruption and a cyclone within just a few weeks.
