ParcelHero offers a comprehensive range of delivery services to over 220 countries worldwide. We work with the world’s largest carriers, which enables us to offer services to more locations than any other courier. Some locations are considered remote areas by the delivery companies, either because they're located in a very remote location, or because they are in an area where deliveries are not made regularly as they are not highly populated areas, or areas where there is not much industry. We can still offer delivery to remote locations, however we do apply a surcharge for such deliveries because it costs more to deliver to these locations.
Our comprehensive UK and international remote location courier services include; express, timed, economy and same-day delivery options to suit every budget and need.
A delivery address can also fall under a remote location category if the courier's nearest delivery depot is very far (or further away than normal) from the delivery address location. Each courier company has depots in different locations and therefore the remote location areas can vary from one courier to another, although some regions such as the Channel Islands and the highlands in the UK, for example, usually fall into remote location areas with most couriers.
Delivery addresses in remote location areas will usually take a bit longer to deliver and, depending on the location, an additional 24-48 hours is usually added onto the normal transit time for each service. Parcel delivery signatures or PODs (Proof of Delivery) may also take longer to be updated on the tracking information.
You can check if your delivery address post code falls under a remote area by downloading the ParcelHero remote area listing, however the ParcelHero Instant Quote feature will automatically provide you with the fastest and cheapest parcel delivery options for your remote location delivery, and the price we quote you will include any applicable remote location surcharges and any additional transit time.
