How it works
Compare UPS services
The UPS maximum parcel weight is 70kg. UPS offers same day booking and late collection. UPS makes 3 delivery attempts as standard for most shipments.
UPS UK next day delivery
We offer both next-day, and timed 9am, 10:30am and 12pm delivery services with UPS. If you don’t have a printer, you can upgrade to the UPS pre-printed label service and have your collecting driver bring the labels with them. If you don’t want to wait for collection, drop at any one of the 2,800 UPS UK Access Points.
UPS International delivery
UPS Express services offer fast 1–4 day delivery across the world. UPS Standard offers excellent 2-4 day EU road delivery, whilst UPS Expedited offers 3-7 day worldwide services.
UPS Import services
We offer shipping from anywhere in the world to the UK via UPS’s global network, with same day collection from most countries worldwide.
UPS prices and surcharges
The price we quote you includes all applicable surcharges. If your parcel has a length + girth exceeding 330cm, it will incur surcharges with UPS. Aim to keep your parcels under this size, to make the best of the huge UPS savings we offer.
UPS collection & delivery
UPS only make 1 collection attempt. If you miss this, you will need to rebook. Next day rebooking is free, but if you want to rebook for same day collection you will have to pay a charge. However, if your parcel is within Access Point size & weight restrictions, you can drop your parcel at a local UPS Access Point.
About UPS
With an incredible half a million employees, UPS delivers 24M packages every day, generating $84B in annual revenues. UPS continually invests in technology to enhance their service offering. Their strict size and weight restrictions keeps non-conveyable freight to a minimum, helping them maintain a lean and efficient operation. It’s this efficiency that enables them to process a mind-boggling 416,000 packages an hour through their main Kentucky hub. UPS offers very high levels of on-time delivery and are one of our most trusted delivery partners.
Why choose UPS?
UPS offer extremely fast delivery, their USA, EU and Far East services in particular offer exceptional transit times. The UPS Economy Standard and Expedited service offer much cheaper rates with transit times that are generally only 1-2 days longer than express. Whilst UPS is quite strict about the commodities they carry, along with the max size and weight, as long as your shipment falls within their parameters, UPS services offer high reliability and great value for money.
Prohibited items
Unlike some carriers, UPS can ship personal effects, including clothing, shoes, electronics and even passports. However there are lots of items that UPS cannot ship, and some of them may not be so obvious, including food to the EU, power banks, and cash. Always check the prohibited list prior to shipping, to avoid the risk of you're package being returned. It's also worth noting that some countries prohibit particular items from being shipped, so if your sending something obscure or rare, it's worth checking with the local customs authority prior to shipping.
ParcelHero has a global list of items that are prohibited for all carriers. In addition to that list, the following items are prohibited by UPS.
- Perfume
- Batteries
- Aerosols
- Flammable liquids
- Animal skins (non‑domesticated)
