Sending to the EU is not as simple as it was. All goods now travel through customs and there is no longer a de-minimis VAT exemption threshold of €22, which means all goods, no matter their value, are taxable.

If your business has registered for the EU's Import one stop shop (IOSS) then you can charge your customer VAT at the point of sale, so the courier does not need to charge it at the point of delivery. Simply enter your IOSS number during the booking process.
